Answers to some common questions that merchants ask when they use Easy Content Builder.

Q. Will Easy Content Builder work for all the pages in my Shopify store?

A. At present, the Easy Content Builder app helps you build homepage, collection pages,product pages, pages, and blog post pages in your Shopify store.

Q. How does the Easy Content Builder work with my Shopify theme?

A. All the prebuilt content blocks added by the Easy Content Builder app will inherit the style of your theme. Please keep in mind that the Easy Content Builder app only works with Online Store 2.0 themes.

Q. Is Easy Content Builder a website creation tool?

A. If you are building a Shopify store you can use the Easy Content Builder app to add and manage its rich content from the Hero section, Call to Action buttons, Image grid, Video, Featured Collections, Featured Products, etc.

Q. What happens to my content and pages if I delete the Easy Content Builder app?

A. All the source files and configurations of the templates and content blocks created by the Easy Content Builder app will be automatically removed. However, the assets like images remain in place in your Shopify store.

Q. Where are the content blocks stored and managed?

A. All content blocks created by the Easy Content Builder are stored and managed directly in your Shopify store.

Q. What is the structure of page URLs when creating a page with Easy Content Builder?

A. If you don't make any custom URL, you will see the native Shopify URL structure as follows:  

• /products/name-of-product
• /pages/name-of-page
• /blogs/news/name-of-blog-post

Q. Can I build more than one Shopify store with Easy Content Builder?

A. We’re afraid that we do not have multi-site plans; any additional Shopify store will need an additional subscription.

Q. Do you offer a free version of Easy Content Builder?

A. Yes. There is a free version of the Easy Content Builder app, and you can stay on it as long as you like. Here is the list of pre-built content blocks available for free.

Q. How can I migrate content blocks to a new theme?

A. Easy Content Builder app comes with a migration utility that automates the process of migrating templates and content blocks created by Easy Content Builder from your existing theme to a new one.

Q. Can I use Custom CSS under the Easy Content Builder app to override blocks created by a 3rd party theme?

A. Yes, you can make quick style changes to all blocks & elements on the site using their CSS classes.

Q. Can I migrate templates + app blocks from one theme to a new theme multiple times?

A. If a template already exists in the destination theme (which means you successfully migrated the template before), the migration tool will notify 'no new templates created'.

If there are any issues during the migration, the migration tool will notify you of the details of the error. Then you can resolve and migrate again to transfer those pending items from the old theme to the new theme.
